EMPIRE THEATRE
The Empire Theatre retains its reputation for a place of entertainment at which tho public may see pictures of tKo best kind. . Tho latest attraction is "The River of Romance." Corporations and syndicates seem to be an ever-increasing quantity —that is so far as moving pictures go,—and in this particular instance a. picture of very considerable merit emanates from tho "Yorko Film Corporation." Tho thousand islands in the St. Lawrence River, a beauty spot of Canada, has boon selected to supply the scenic side of the story, and many beautiful spots are placed beforo tho spectators. The story is both romantic and sentimental. "The River of Romance" is full of thrill and excitement. There are hairbreadth esoa.pes from annihilation, with love (that is, picture or fanciful love) always in tho ascendant, and working a wonderful influence for good, as it must if it is genuine and of the right kind. In addition to the chief picture, there are shown "Ready for tho Enemy," a goofl comedy, and a new Metro "Travelogue."
