Reporting for last wck. the manager of the Occidental mine ■-tatcd that at No 6 l"vpl the reef in the dim , had hhov n further inipioveitiviit. A few dabs of gold (ould be c efn in some of tl.o ore , . At No 4 level south of the shaft a drive hid been put in 10ft on a leader. This was composed of n,ce looking quart/, and had shown .1 l'ttle gold. The Occidental reef in the stope appeared about the ymc as i'-ual, and should make more picked 'tone at any time. Driving north of tho 'haft nt No. 4 level, another break h.'d been met with in the face. Thi-, had di placed the reef. The manager hopos to p,ck up the reel again shortly.
