ARAWA'S DUNEDIN INVALIDS.
ARRIVING BY SECOND EXPRESS TO-NIGHT. Tho Otago detachment of the men who returned by the Arawa will, with the exception of thoeo for places north of Dunedin, reach here by tho second express to-night. The local defence authorities have not been advised as to the actual number that aro coming, but some 80 men whose homes are in Southland o;- Central Otago will require to ibo billeted f6r one night. Offers from those who have accommodation for one or more men will be received to-day. The carriages .conveying the returned troopers will be drawn up at tho southern end of the platform, whksh will be barricaded, admission being only obtainable by meane of customary passes issued to relatives. The men will be met by motor cars, in which they will bo conveyed to their homes and to the houses wbero they will be billeted. The portion of the street giving access to the motor cars will be barricaded. ' The southern men and the men for Central Otago will be aeiit to their homes by tho first trains on Saturday morning.
