HOLMES FEATHERS. WON BY DUNEDIN. ' Tho final round of the first competition was played on the Caledonian Green on Thursday evening between tho Dmnedin and St. Kilda Clubs, and attracted a large number of bowlers. The rain that had fallen earlier in tho day had made tho <rreen a little heavy, nevertheless some fine fowling was witnessed. At the end of the sixth head Dunedin had scored 6 points and St. Kilda 5. At the fourteenth head tho score was • Dunedin 17, St. Kilda 7. St. Kilda then put on 5 and 3 in successive hoads. On tho twentieth head Dunedin had 22 to their credit and St. Kilda 20. Before the Dunedin skip played his last bowl St. Kilda were lying 2. Bentley was equal to the occasion, however, and got the shot, leaving the Dunedin winners by 3 points. Scores: — D S K W. Hogg, C.
