A tribute to the work of Private W. J. Henry. Field Ambulance, of Auckland, -who was recently awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal, is contained in a letter r-coived in Auckland on Tuesday from another Red Cross worker. The fetter was written frorn the headquarters of the New Zealand force on June 24 (savs the New Zealand Herald), and contains" the following remark?:—" Private W. J. Henrv has hern dom<r splendid work, and all the bovs swear by him Dunns the .first few days' fichtinc: lie risked his life time after time attending to the wounded. One infantrrma" Jyld me that if ever a man deserved and does not say much, bnt I know he has been mentioned in despatches.
