For rheumatism, backache, v faceache, earache, neuralgia, and other muscular 'pains nothing can equal WITCH'S OIL (registered). - " —Auction sales originated in ancient Rome, and were introduced to enable soldiers to dispose of spoils of war. Mr A. W. Martin having returned from his tenth trip to the south, may be consulted for a few weeks prior to his leaving for the north and Australia. Intending patients will kindly understand that the time is limited during which they can have their suffering relieved by the specialist, and will be studying their own best interests by getting immediately the skilled treatment which is now available. During his journey south Mr Martin met with many of his old patients anxious to express their gratitude for his successful treatment of their rupture cases and his only regret- was that others who were themselves suffering could not hear their appreciative testimony to the efficacy of the Dr J. A. Sherman treatment. Mr Martin met with quite a number of youn<» able-bodied men who had been hindered from enrolling for the war because of rup- | turo_, and in some cases because thev bore marks of surgical operation. Mr Martm has always contended that operations are risky on account oc the number of recurrences. Ho has had any number of evidences that they weaken the walls of tho abdomen, and increase the size of the original rupture. The long list of cures of hernia through the Dr J. A. Sherman treatment is sufficient to prove the fallacy so persistently preached that a surgical operation is tho onlv means of permanent cure. The Dr J. A. Sherman method of treatment gives_ immediate relief and permanent cure, a claim which cannot be made for nny other svstem, however widely adyertised. The Sherman appliance is the only one vhich curves the "upward contractile pressure, and herein lies its success. Mr A. W. Martin may be consulted free at his rooms, Samson's Bnildinps, Dowling street, dailv 10" to 12 noon. 2 to 5 p.m.; Saturdays 10 to 12 noon. A booklet on rupture nnd its treatment free to sufferers — 31/3/15.
