(Per United ritr.ss Association.) AUCKLAND, July 14. A Suva cable states that while hoisting an anchor on H.M.S. Powerful a derrick carried away, killing one sailor and wounding 10 others. OAMARU, July 14. Barney Winter, known also as Barney " White Rats," a nonagenarian, died here this morning. He was a very old identity, and quite a celebrity in his way.. In the early days he tramped extensively over different parts of the Dominion as a showman, his stock-in-trade including a number of white rats. The police have received information of two sudden deaths which have taken piace in the country. George William Fisher, 79 years of age/ and an old-age pensioner, expired at tho residence of his sister-in-law, Mrs Moore, at Poolburn, and Thomas Price, aJi extremely old man, died suddenly at Mount Ross, near Middlemarch, on Thursday. It is not thought probable that an inquest will he held in either case. THE IRISH DELEGATES. DEPARTURE DELAYED TILL JULY 28. {Peb Dnited Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, July 14. Messrs Redmond and Donovan, the Irish envoys, arrived in Wellington this morning, and leave to-morrow for Taranaki. . They will hold meetings at Manaia oc Monday, and at Opimake on Tuesday.
