PREVENTIVE MEASURES DISCUSSED. Press Association—By Telegraph— CopyHghl MELBOURNE, March 1. The Inter-State Conference on Tuberculosis decided that compulsory notification is the - first step in combating the disease, and that doctors attending such cases should notify the health authorities. The conference is sitting in camera. (Beceived March 2j at 0.45 a.m.) The conference recommended the State Governments to give the authorities power to remove dangerous cases to institutions where the patients could be properly treated, also that the Board of HcsiltJi be given power to deal with neglected cases.
Another resolution . reoomniended the Commonwealth Government to prohibit the entrance of consumptives.
