TRANSFERS AND PROMOTIONS.

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, February 8. The Postmaster-general announces the following changes and promotions in the i'ost and Telegraph service :— Mr H. Logic, chief postmaster, Westport, to be chief postmaster Thames, in place of Mr Nicholls, retired. Mr F. H. Dodd, acting postmaster, Hastings, to be chief postmaster, Westport. Mr C. Hill, postmaster, Hawera, to be chief postmaster, Oamam, in place of Mr Beswick, retired. Mr P. P. White, postmaster, Marion, to be, postmaster, Hawera. Mr T. Ward, postmaster, Te Aro, to be postmaster, Marton. Mr S. Ayling, senior Money Order and Savings Bank clerk, Palmerston North to be senior clerk Palnicrston North. Mr Ayling will bo replaced by tho promotion of Mr C. G. Rogers, of Timaxu. Mr E. Dolimore, postmaster, Lyell, to bo postmastor Pleasant Point. Mr H. G. Clifford, telegraphist, Gore,. to be postmastor Mercer.
