Tho Paris correspondent of the New York Herald status th.it Jack London is loading a band of Mexican insurgents. The Mexican Government ifi protesting to Washington, fearing that this cxamplo will be followed by other Americans who should bo prevented from crossing tho border.

A BLOODLESS BATTLE.

FEDERAL TROOPS FLEE.

MEXICO CITY, February 8. (Received Feb. 9, at 1,10 a.m.)

In the battle i between the Federal troops and the insurgents- near Juarez no one was injured. After a fierce fusillade lasting 15 minutes, the Federals fled beyond range. Tho Federals are now occupying Juarez, and the insurgents' position is unchanged. The latter are awaiting reinforcements in order to attack Juarez.
