Press Association-;- By Telegraph-Copyright MELBOURNE, December 23. At the hides sale tho supply was moderate. Medium weights wore unsteady, and others iirm. There will be no sales next week. .Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. rel»rt as follows:—Wo held' our sale on Wednesday, 22nd inst.. when we offered a catalogue of 645 hides to a representative gathering of buyer*. Bidding veils exceptionally brisk throughout our entire sale, and the average prices realised were exceptionally good. We had not a suVIo prime stout hide in the lot. but the average quality was fairl>- good, as the individual sales he-rounder will show. Our top pneo for ox hides was 535, and our top price for cow hides was 41s Id. Calfjkjns met a hrisk demand at, m> to 9d nor lb. SALK OF FARM AT WAITATI. Messrs Alex. Harris and Co., auctioneers, report having sakl Mr Walter Park's freehold farm at Waitati. The land comprised alkjul 150 acres, and the improvements consisted of six-roomed dwelling, etc. The stock and crops were also >oid, and the purchaser was Mr Stewart, who lakes possession shortly after the new year. CLEARING SALE. Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report having held a most successful clearing sale at Momona on Tuesday, 21st inst., on account of Mr Thomas Clark, whose farm thoy recently sold. The attendance of buyers being good, everything sold exceedingly well. The cows were in splendid order, anil brought up to £10 7s 6d. llorscs, plant, and furniture also sold at I full market rates. PROPERTY SALE. Messrs Aler. Harris and Co.,'..auctioneers, submitted at auction on Monday a freehold property in South Duncdin. The sale was on account of the executors in the ostato of tlifi late Mrs Elizabeth Hughes, and the projwrty comprised an allotment in Rankeilor, together . with a six-roomed dwelling, etc., thereon. The proncrty was oliercd on the premises, and Mr Dell be-' came the purchaser at £400. The furniture and effects were afterwards sold at satisfactory prices.
