ALLEGED ABDUCTION

MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. (Pep. United Press Association.) MASTEBTON, October 29. At the S.M. Court this morning Alfred Charles Warren was committed for trial at the next fitting of the Supreme Court at Wellington on a eha.rge of the abduction of a 10-year-old boy. The father of the boy., stated in lr* evidence that his wife had left with the accused, taking their three children with her. The com" plainant obtained a divorce and order for the custody of the children, and took the children to a boarding-house at Matiere. on the Main Trunk- line, where the accused and the mother of the children arjpeared one morning, forced open the window, dropned the boy out, and drove, him away. Bail was allowed the accused in his'own recognisance for £100.
