All the exhibits for competition were grown by pupils attending the sclicol. Parents and friends of the scholars were present in large numbers, and the large hall was crowded with pupils of the school, who took a keen interest in the exhibits, which were subjected to a fair amount of comparative juvenile criticism. Where the exhibits all round were excelbut, it would ssem invidious to single out any particular exhibitor for special mention, but an exception was made in the case of a boy namsd Kric Flint, who was tlicei-vadly awarded a special prize for an exhibit of very fine pansies. Good business was, done at the vegetable, sweets, and refre.?biuen; stalls, and at the close of the show at an early hour in the afternoon most of Die exhibits were sold for the benefit of the school piano fund.
