MEDICAL CONFERENCE.

(Per United Press Association.) NAPIER, .February 24. The conference of the- New Zealand Branch of the British Medical Association was continued to-day. The report mid balance sheet in connection with the benevolent and sick funds were adopted, and the retiring officers were re-elected. A sub-committee was appointed to confer with the Federated Chemists' Association of New Zealand with a view to the remedy of the abuse of continued repetitions of proscriptions containing narcotics and other powerful drugs. It was decided that only papers contributed by members of 'the association should be published in the New Zealand Medical Journal. In the afternoon- the members ot the conference visited the Grassmcre orchard, Hastings, as the guests of Mr E. H. Williams.

Papers were read at the evening sitting.
