WOOL SALES.
Press Association.—By Telegrapli.—Copyright. LONDON, May 12. The wool sales opened brisk, but showed from 5 to 10 per cent, decline. May 13. (Received May 14, at 0.42 a.m.) Messrs Buxton, Batme, and Co. and Jacombs joint catalogue comprised 6887 bales of a fair selection. The lot included 3785 bales of New Zealand wool. Bidding was animated at the opening, being better than was expected. There was a record attendance. Compared ivith the April closing rates crossbreds all round showed a, decline of 10 per cent. Merinos were very irregular. Choicest declined 4 per eent., and others averaged about 10 per cent.

Active competition for crossbred,"
