MOA REMAINS.

PERFECT 1 SKELETON FOUND. (PWS UKITSD PBK3S Absocutiob.) AUCKLAND, May 12. An interesting find was made a few days ago by Mr T. E. Hughes, of Woodhill, Kaipara. While ho was walking over the sandhills a few miles bolow Hcienßville he discovered the perfect skeleton of a moa, Tho skeleton had evidently been buried in tho sand for oenfcuries, an 3 tho recent winds from tho north Had removed tho covering sand and exposed the bones. When discovered it was perfect, but on attempting' to remove it most of the smaller bones crumbled into dust. The large bonea of tho logs and part of the bacfc wore, sufficiently sound to permit of removal toi Mr Hughes's home, whejv they now lie, This discovery is interesting from the fac* that previously no traces of tho moa had been found in this district.
