AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The popularity of "The Isle of BongBong" promises to continue unabated to tho end of its run, which is to-morrow evening. Last night His Majesty's' Theatre was again well filled by an audience predisposed, as all Dunedin audiences are, to admire, tho Pollards, but won to genuine admiration by the merits of the performance. The principal characters evoked the same measure of commendation which lias characterised previous representations. Mr Charles Albert as tho -Sultan was appropriately truculent, and Sir Bert Nicholson, as usual, exceedingly funny. Mr Harry Quealy also won recognition in this manner. The singing and dancing of tho other characters was very attractive, and the wholo ensemble was very creditable to performers and management alike. After this evening there is only one mors performance of "Tho Isl© of Bong-Bong"—a fact which playgoers will no doubt note. ' PRINCESS THEATRE. The attractions provided by Fullers' vaudeville company again were responsible for a largo attendance at the Princess Theatre last night. Miss Eva Lee and the picaninnies were enthusiastically received, as were Caikway, Mclvin, and Frawley, Gertio M'Leod, Master Byron, Charles Moody, Maud Perman, and Bonnetta and Williams. Somo capital "bioscopio displays also formed a feature of. tho outer l teinment. ALHAMBRA THEATRE. During the past week, despite counter attractions, the audiences at the Alhambra Theatre havo been very satisfactory. To.night tho usual wejklj change of programme takes place, and fresh novelties in the way of films are announced. That public sympathy is with this movement to assist two good institutions in our midst is evidenced' by tho fact that'his Worship the''Mayor, Lieut.-colonel J; Allen, Messrs J. Loudon, A.
