FIRST GRADE.. University Seated Otago at Forbuvy on Saturday by 3 goals to nil. The match was more evenly contested than fl, e resuJt indicates. On the whole the forwards of the losing tearii were quite equal to their opponents, but the defence of the University tacks was quite impenetrable, Johnson and Kyourn being'especially conspicuous. Otago v»s played at Anderson's Bay before a fair number of spectators. The game was evenly contested m the first spell. However, in the second spsr! Hammond proved a great thorn in Otiigo's side, along with Collie. Otago played a good passing game, but lacked backing up when a obance of scoring was probable The game resulted in a draw, both sides scoring 2 goa-s each. UNIVERSITY CLUB. The annual meeting of the above club was bald bast evening, the president (Professor Gi ray) occupying the chair.
