NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a MEETING- of the Council oi the Borough of Maori Hill will b'e held at the Council Chambers, Maori Hill, on THURSDAY, the 14th day oi May, ISOS, at 8 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of CONFIRMING the following RESOLUTION, which was PASSED at a Special Meeting of the said Council, held on the lGth day of April, 1908:— In pursuance and exercise of the Powers vested in it in that behalf bv "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901,'' the Maori Hill Borough Council Hereby Resolves as follows: " That, for the purpose o[ providing tho interest and other charges on a loan of £-2500, authorised to be raised by tho Maori Hill Borough Council for improvements to the streets in South Ward, of the Borough of Maori Hill, the said Council. hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of One Halfpenny in the pound upon tho Rateable Value of all Rateable Property of South Ward, of the said Borough", being all that area in the Otago Land District comprising Sections 8 to 14 (inclusive), Block I, and Sections 2 to 13' (inclusive), Block 11, Upper Kaikorai Survey District, and the Portion of Section 1, Block 111, of tho said Survey District, within tho Boundaries of the Borough of Maori Hill, ajid that such Special Rate shall be an Annual Recurring Rate during (he currency of such loan, and be payable Half-yearly—on the Ist day of April and the Ist day of October in each and every year during tho currency oi such loan, being a period of 41 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
