PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD
The monthly, meeting of Ihe Poriobello Road Board was held on Saturday. tho?e in attendance being Messrs J. Dickson (chairman), Haenndrew, Wright. Burt. Bacon. Senton, and Fulton. The Inspector ashed for 50 yards of metal for the beach and district roads to Hooper's Inlet.—To stand over till next meeting but in the meantime the mis on the Beach .Toad to bo attended to. Mr Thomas Begg wrote slating lhat he was prepared to land broken metal, at any place the .board pointed out from the bridge at Anderson's Bay to Lower Poriobello.—The clerk '\vi\s instructed to ask Mr Begg to give
quotations at por yard as far down a 9 Broad Bay. Mr John Dick wrote requesting the board to bring the road leading to his pro . perty down -to the permanent level.—Mr'Dick to be informed that the board had no funds but the matter would bo attended to as Boon as possible. The Bay Town Board wrote . drawing attention to tho road past Meade's Quarry, Craiglutli.—Left in the. hands of the members of tho subdivision and tho inspector, to act. Messrs Bathgate and Wood. house forwarded a copy of a petition to bo approved by the board and sent' to tlio Governor, praying to have Mrs Wilson's new road from tho harbour to. tho Camp,' through block 11, Otngo Peninsula survey district, vested in the board and gazetted a publio road under the Publio Works Act and amendments now in force.—Resolved that applications Ik- called for a ranger, and to be iil by next meeting.
