FATAL ACCIDENT.
A heavy fall of earth took place, at 9.30 a.tti; on July 25 at the ©xcavdtion works in connection with the Presbyterian Theological College at fhu Tear of Mr R. Glendining's property, Norlh-East Valley, whereby a man named William Brown was killed outright, and another man named Stephen Wllelan somewhat seriously injured. Whelah had also jo bo extricated, and it was foiiiid that lie hid received a heavy blow on the base of the back df the heck. At the inquest the occurrence was attributed purely to accidoht.
