(Per United Press Association.? AUCKLAND, August 16.

A number of prosecutions took placo today for boarding tramoare while in motion. Sub-inspeotor Gordon stated that in the interests of publio safety and in view of the fact that people who waited for cars at recognised stopping-places were often crowded out now by those who boarded the cars before they pulled up, it had been decided to enforce the tramway by-law relating Io boarding ears. Each defendant was fined-10s and costs.
