Tho illustrations in tho July number of the Windsor are more than usually artistic, even for that magazine, wiiioh invariably does such work extremely well. The " Art of Ralph Peacock" affords scope for such work, and we do not suppose even the artist can complain of the quality of the reproduction in blacl: and white. ''The Heal Cattle Boat", and tho real cattle man in chaige on the voyage from America to Europe are not the bloodthirsty cut-throats of fiction. Tho organisers and foremen are keen and' skilled business men, and the rank and file, bo far from being hardened desperadoes, are returning wanderers, who pay two pounds for the privilege of being carried back from America. There'ts a further instalment of Anthony Hope's of tho serial, and also a posthumous artiole by lan Maclaten depicting the doinostic life of the ordinary Scottish tenant farmer of the humbler class. Tho article " W'hat We Know About Mars" is well illustrated, and conies appropriafiely now that interest ia being taken in the celestial visitor, the comet.
