The : : vessel. < •which is bound Irom Clarcnoc River to Wellington, put into Guards Bay on Monday for shoitor. On Wednesday Captain Cozens, tho second mate, and three sailors _ put off for the ,shore in a lifeboat to obtain' provisions. A squall capsized' the boat, Hut all the men managed to scramble on to tho bottom, remaining there until she drifted ashore on Forsyth Island. The party staved on the rooks all night, and on tho following day wcro taken back to tho vessel. The captain was much knocked about, and one man was laid up. MedicaL assistance and food have. been sent from Picton.
