CHRISTOIIUHCH, April 26.

An inquest war, hold this.afternoon touchins the doaih of Alfred Ilellyer, who was arrested on Sunday on a charge of ehild murder, and who was found in his roll in an unconscious condition on Monday afternoon and died at the hospital later in tho evening. Evidence was given that Ilellyer, whilo in the lcck-up, had been Riven the contents bt a phial, which had been laken awav from him with his other properly when he was searched on being arrested. The IroUlo was found lo contain fragments of morphia, and morphia was also discovered in the stomach. A verdict wa-s returned that death \\'as due to morphia, laken by deceased while in a. state of insanity.
