A PREMIER'S MISTAKE.

Mr Price) has got into hot water over. a. speech which bo delivered at Mount-Gambier in defending the Labour party against the charges contained in n circular issued by tho women's branch of the Farmers' Political Association, charging tlbe Labour party with seeking to weaken Ihe marriage tie and destroy the family life. Mr Price used words to the effect]that dirty birds were, not to he found in the Labour party, but he found Hint the Ladies' Committee at Mount Gamlner took such men into their homes. Replying to a request for an explanation from the president of the association, Mr Price stated that he had no intention of casting a slur on the character of any women, but to attack certain men belonging to the association's side of politics. The president, bus now written slating that the Premier's explanation is unsatisfactory, and demanding a full apology pending a meeting.of the association to consider the question of taking further action, :
