A woman named Mrs E. Malono was found dead in her liousii this morning. Her husband is u night watchman on one of the claims, and when he frrived homo thia morning found his wife lying dead. The dcoeased bad been suffering from dropsy for some time, but was out working in her garden tho day previous. A man named S.ootty M'lntyre, a carpenter at Turangareri, was found buried in tho mud up to tho nock on Sunday morning. Tho Maoris cut a channel in to the man, and rescued him ill a very exhausted condition. Ho was taken to tho pa and washed and nursed.
