MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.

The Loith Lodgo, No. 4, 1.0.0. F., held its regular meeting in tho Oddfellows' Hall, Albany street, on Monday evening, ft.G. Bro. J. C. Fea presiding, and Bro. F. W. Clayton in tho vice-chair. Correspondence Was received from various sources, and a communication ffom tho South Otago District Lodge re visit of Grand Master Bro. Alex. Small, also with reference to a competition for all lodges in tho district to givo tho initiatory degree, for which a committee, consisting of J.P.G. Bro. C. H. Brotherhood, E.G. Bro.,Fea, V.G. Bro. Clayton, and P.G. Bro. A. H. Valentine, was elected to arrange a team for practice. Tho wcretary was instructed to forward a letter of ocindoleuce to tho family of :the lato ~ro. Chirles Boelke, of Unity Lodge. Bro. Ivilpath/ik, of Pioneer Lodge, responded to tho toast of "The Visitors."
