A FIRE INQUIRY.
(Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 27. Tho inquiry into the fco on May 15, by which the Black Hor?o Hotel, Lincoln road, was burned down, was resumed to-day. The court sat for several hours taking the evidonca of tlio licensee (Mrs Smith), the owner (Mrs Snooks), a rousabont, a housemaid, and .Tamicsou, a builder. Tho evidence rather favoured the theory that a defective- chimney was the rasi-c of the fire. The inquiry w.ia adjourned to July 9.
