BOWLING.

A very pleasant gathering of tho Roslyn Howling Club was held on Thursday evening last at the Oddfellows' Hall, Roalyn, when the prizes won during tho season were distributed. There was a good attendance of members, and Mr J. B. C.vllan, president of the club, alter .1 few intrcJuetOij' remarks, handed to the successful competitors their various trophies. The winners were as follows:—President's prize, Mr J. Seoulnr; vice-president's, Mr Andrew N. . Crawford; pairs, Mr W. Weir and AV. I. Bolani; Miss Gardiner's prize (llink Match), Messrs It. 11. Taylor. \Y. Brown, A. E. Bone, and \Y. C. AUimU (siiip). 11l accordance with the rule generally observed in tlie club, the [irises had been selected by the winners themselves, and it was whilst all were in excellent taste, {ho selection had not been made without regard to domestic tics—'for curiously enough every winner was a, benedict.
