Mr Ibbolson has been, a .corporation ofiieial foi o Jarn-c nnmbcr of yea.vs, being, head or the staff of the ouier office, and as such, and also as i-it.y^ collector, he has si veil great satisfaction to the ratepayers and council alike, f would ask. Sir, }s is fair that Mi lbbotfon should bo passed over in tins manner, and the position given to an officer who, until very recently, had been 1:1 the staff under Mr Ibbotson s supervision?—l am, etc.,
