HOSPITAL BENEFIT.
Tho influential committee connected with tlia Gnrricfc Club's annual benefit to the Victoria Jubilee Ward for Children (Dunedin Hospital), are working indcfatigably to make the performance a lmga fina-nciul success, and there is good reason to suppose that their efforts \vill be crowned by success. His Honor Mi Justice Williams, his Worship the Mayor (Mr W. Swan), the medical faculty of 'Dunedin, the trustees of the institution, and a large number of our leading citizens have- extended their patronage to the-performance. "Sly Sweetheart " will, on the occasion, he staged for positively the last time, with all the songs, dances, specialties, limelight effects, and scenery. The cast of characters will be the same as in the recent successful productions of the piece. Mr Barrie Marschcl will be stage-manager as usual, and the orchestra is under the baton of Mr J, 11. Coombs. As will ba seen in our advertise-' incut columns, patrons are requested to bring a, floral tribute, which will be taken in charge by the doorkeepers, for distribution amongst ths little sick ones in the ward.
Owing to the very large number of tickotssold a bumper house is assured.
