JUBILEE SINGERS.

. .—_. —_». : The attendances at the Princess Theatre show no signs of diminishing. Last evening the Jubilee Singers .presented another change of programme, which was listened to by an audience which fully occupied all parts of the house. The selection of musical items drawn up for tho occasion was, as. heretofore, comprised of jubilee .melodies and plantation songs, with' a judicious admixture of solo items.- The- whole of the first portion of the entertainment was devoted to jubilee choruses, and these were rendered with all the skilful and harmonious effects which have previously characterised'the singing'of the company. The principal choruses were: ."On, sinner man," " The Lord's Prayer,'k " Did not old Pharaoh get lost?" "Oh yen, r>h yes," and "Let us move along." The' solo numbers were' also capitally sung, and encores were frequently demanded. Mr R. H. Collins sang " Goodbye, mother; good-bye, dad," and "The carnival"; Madame M'Adoo, the lady tenor of the company, "Bonnie sweet Bessie'?; and Miss Susie Anderson, "Swallows" (Oowen). The ladies' .quartet also sang the admirable arrangement of "The lost chord." Mr Jerry Mills introduced his diverting entertainment, and tlie " only " Jalvan exhibited a number of entirely novel feats of skill and cunning. To-night the programme will be repeated. — Sakai, a seaport town near Osaka, Japan, promises to become the Sheffield of the East. A company has been formed to introduce new machinery into the cutlery trade there. The city always had » higli reputation for its hardware.
