CITY POLICE COURT.
Wednbsdai, August 24. - (Before Messrs J. Liddell, P. Moenarls- and. W. C. M'Nee, J.P.s). -- Drunkenness.—Susannah Dreaver was fined 10s, in default 48 hours. Ellen M'Gee, against whom thoro were 38 previous convictions, was sentenced to 14 days* imprisonment; and Annie Keogh. was fined 10s, with the usual alternative. '■ ' ■ • ' . Breach of the Peace.—William G-all and James Kenneway were charged with behaving in such a. manner that a breach of the peace was occasioned in Rattray street on the 23rd inst.-j— Sergeant O'Neill stated that the men were found at 25 minutes past 11 down near the wharf fighting. They fell on the footpath, and commenced fighting away there.—G-all said that an attempt was being made to take a bottle of whisky out of his pocket, and he was defending himself.—Each of the offenders were fined ss. Theft.—Mary Goddar, alias Finch, was charged with the theft from a dwelling of a purse, valued at Is and £3 8s in money, tho property of A. N. Wilson. —Sergeant O'Neill said that the woman was only arrested at a quarter-past 1 o'clock in the morning, and there had been very little time to inquire into the matter. He (the sergeant)"'therefore asked for a, remand to Friday,.—Remanded accordingly
