OTAGO JUBILEE PUZZLE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—An extract from the Christchsirch Press appeared in the columns of your Tues- j day's issue stating that the police of that city had seized thousands of blocks of tickets belonging to a grand art union. Now, Sir, I ■would like to draw public attention to the fact \ that the persons connected with the art union are also the promoters of the Otsgo Jubilee Puzzle. This in itself is suspicious, aud sufficient to create distrust in the minds of the pur»haaeri of this puzzle. I and several of m? friends are investors iv the latter to a considerable «am. I am nofc altogether satisfied with the bona fides of this Jubilee concern, for on several occaisions I have made inquiries at tbeir Rattray street office to know when the puzzle would fbe decided upon, and the only reply I could obtaiu waß an evasive one—that they did nofc know when it would oorae off. I would now ask this International Art aud Novelty Publishing Company to state specifically the closing date of the Otago Jubilee Puzzle, failing which I would fmsgesb that the police interfe c in the matter.—l a*. &c, Dunedin, August 18. Faie Plat. ■
