It wns one in which many women had Co earn (heir own liviug and the living of their families. The time had gone by, long ago, when the only aim and object of a woman's existence was to get married. There were other avenues of life now opened to her; and Oddfellowship afforded her the aid —both practical, social, and religious aid to render her mission in life successful. Sister Statham then detailed the work of Oddfellowship, and gave instances of the good work thad accomplished. 61. Bro. Higgius stated that the Kebekah branch was a comparatively new branch in New Zealand, but wherever branches were established—there were four in tbe colony, two in Dunedin, one in Auckland, and one in Wellington—they had proved an unqualified success.
