THE SIXTIES CLUB.

TO TEE EDITQE.

Sib,—Considerable interest has bean aroused in an important section of the community by letters appearing in your correspondence columns to the effect that the men' who arrived here from, say, 1860 to 1865 should be allotted a place in the forthcoming celebration*. It Wjould be needless to enumerate their claims for~reeog« nitiou amongst the builders up of this province. 14 wan their'task to put the coping stone to'the structure the foundations of which had been so well and thoroughly laid by the pilgrim .fathers. As Eooie sort of organisation is necessary'to carry out this object, I wonld suggest the formation of a club or league, to be called " The. Sixties," whose- functions would be, firstly,- the enrolling; erf members who arrivaii-here ia the period abore stated, or any modification thereof that might be dseided on ; secondly,: to come to an surangemeni with the Jubilee Committee as to their share in the proceedings ; also-to arrange for !a' cotwtitution for the club. . Such an organisatioa would be the means of bringing. together hundreds of men of the "early sixties,' who wonld delight to honour She noble province they have helped to advance so maeh. lam positive that if a preliminary meeting was called such a combination would be largely supported; -I shtmld be happy to correspoEid wit's any persons iufcgrested-who would assiac in furthering the above ciuse. Anyone so desiring might address me, care of this office.—l am, &c..; . :
