Cooper i relative to the pooling of the shares of the Great' Barrier Gold and Silver Company with the Johannesburg syndicate to the effect that any dissentina shareholders could appeal to the court and demand their shares from the pool, the directors have agreedito abide by that decision and to declare the .pooling arrangements off. The work on the original Great Barrier Gold Mining Company is proceeding- on the property under the supervision of the representative of the New Ztaland and Johannesburg syndicate, who have some months' option over the ground. Negotiations have been entered into by a wealthy syndicate with a view to-obtaining an. option over the Marco Polo and Marquettai properties. , ■'

Mr C. S. Reeves reports P.loz 2dwt ISgr of gold from the Enterprise dredge for last week. The Dimstau Times reports ihat the Molyneux Hydraulic Company's dredge obtained 12oz 19dwt 4gr on the 28th ult.,. value £43 17s 9d. making a total of 290z 9<hvt 12»r for, the week. The dredge washed up again last Thursday for 19oz ]§rttyfc 9sr, value £7G 17s 6d.
