Auckland, Febrnary 20.
An inquest was held on one of the- twin* found exposed on a verandah at Parnell a fortnight ago. A; verdict was returned of " Doatb from natural cause*, accelerated by exposure." The police were unsuccessful in tracing tha mother.
Wellington, February 20. Herbsrt Falbnt, i»gect 34, a compositor in the New Zealand Time! office, died in tha hospital this afternoon from the effectsof injuries to ths head, sustained in a wrestling bout in a hotel on Saturday night. He leaves a widow and family.
An elderly man named Firth, an inmate oi the home for the aged and needy, died suddenly in Grey street to-df.y. He had seen long serviea in the Imperial army.
iH-vsacARQiLL, February 20.. John Howe, of South Wyndham, aged about 28 years, was found shot dead in the bush this morning at the back of his mother's property. Tha ballet had gone right through the head of the deceased. The sad fatality is supposed to have been caused by the gun going off acci> dentally while Howe, was getting throngh A wire fence. He was out shooting at the time.
