A HOTEL LICENSE FORFEITED.

Paoiekston North, February 18. At the Pelice Court to-day, Thomas Nelson, I the licetißee of a hotel at Ashurst, was fined £10 and coats and had his license forfeited for permitting the hotel to be used as a brothel. The stipendiary magistrate, in giving evidence, said the evidence disclosed such a state of affairs »s was a disgrace not only to the place, bat to the colony, and reflected ver? discreditably on the police. Notice of appeal was given.
