Auckland, October 19.—Tho new intercolonial service promoted by Huddart, Parker, and Co. has been inaugurated by the.arrival of the Warrimoo early this morning from Sydney after a fast passage. She brought 58 passengers. A great deal of interest was manifested hero in the steamer, which was inspected and admired by a largo number of people. It was anticipated that she would break the record between Sydney and Auckland on this trip, but owing to the completion of a long voyage and the alleged inferiority o« her coal she did not accomplish that task. She left Sydney at 6.30 a.m. on the 15th, and arrived here at .1.30 a.m. on the 19th, after a passage of 3dl9h.
