OUR VOLUNTEERS.
Tbe fourth and final competition for three ■feophics was fired for by members of the Tuapeka Birles on Thursday last. Owing to Saturday being very stormy, the squad usually shooting on that day did not compete. The principal scores on Thursday were—Captain M'Keich, 57; Corporal Winn, 50. The following is the result of the four competitions, the three highest scores only to count :—
At a meeting of the Dunedin Engineers, held after parade on Wednesday evening, the report from the Shooting Committee, which was considered very satisfactory, was adopted. A committee for the ensuing season was elected as follows: —Sei-geants Roach and Russell, Bugler Prentice, Engineers Johnson and Koutledge. Several other matters affecting the well-being of the corps were discussed.
