Auckland, March 30.—Arrived (3 p.m.): Te Anau, from Sydney. Passengers: For Wellington—One in the steerage. For Lyttelton—One in the steerage. There are 22 saloon and 24 steerage passengers for Auckland.. The vessel left Sydney at 6 p.m. on the 24th, and met with strong easterly ; _ gales and head seas for the greater part of the voyage until near the New Zealand coast, when ■the weather moderated, and from thence light •variable winds were experienced. The Aorangi left Cape Town for Hobart and Auckland on the 29th inst. . ♦ ■-. — The s.s. Tarawera, Captain E. Sinclair, from Sydney, via the East Coast ports, arrived at the George street pier, Port Chalmers, at 7 a.m. yesterday, and steamed up to Dunedin on the afternoon tide. She left the Union Company's wharf at Sydney at 6 p.m. of the 17th inst., and cleared Port Jackson heads at 6.45 p.m., had strong south easterly winds for the next three days and then calms with a heavy swell, passed the Three Kings at 7.30 p.m. of the 21st inst., and arrived at Auckland at 4 p.m of the 22nd, left again for the South at noon of the 24th inst., caUed at Gisborne and Napier, and reached Wellington at 9 a.m. on the 27th, pushed on for the south at 3.30 p.m. of the next day, and arrived at Lyttelton at 6 a.m. of the 29th, left again at 1.45 p.m. same day, and arrived at headquarters as above. We thank Mr H. C. Tayler (her purser) for report and files. The s.s. Invercargill, with cargo from the south, arrived at the Rattray street wharf at 8.30 a.m. yesterday. She left Bluff harbour at 4.30 p.m. of the 29th inst.; hadlightairsuntil4a.m. yesterday, and thence fine S.W. winds to arrival. She left again yesterday evening for Invercargill. Tbe schooner Spray took advantage of the fresh S.W. breeze yesterday morning, and left Dunedin with a full carip for Napier. The barque Annie Reed is expected to leave Dunedin to-morrow for Wellington and Auckland. The s.s. Janet Nicoll took in cargo yesterday at -the tongue wharf for the East Coast ports and Auckland. The German barque Marianna, now landing part cargo at the Bluff, is expected here in about a week from this. The ship Opawa will be all clear of her inward cargo to-day, and is completing ballast at the cross wharf. The s.s. Tongariro having put out the whole of her Dunedin cargo sailed yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton. The s.s. Mararoa left the Bowen pier yesterday afternoon for Sydney, via East Coast ports.
