RAM AND EWE FAIRS.

Auckland, February 2. The first sheep fair of the season was held to-day by Messrs Buckland and Sons at their Remeura yards. The attendance was tho largest seen at these fairs for some years. About 12,000 sheep were sold, prices being satisfactory, those for Lincoln owes reaching 20s (id, given for somo broil by Mr Robert Hall, One Tree Hill, whilst LIS each were paid for ram hoggets bred by Mr Baird, Otahuhu.
Masterton, Feebruary 2. lhu annual ram fair in connection with the Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. Bidding was brisk, and good prices were obtained. Of Lmcolns about '150 were sold, the highest price obtained beii g 13 guineas for a ram sold by Perry Brothers. Rums offered by Collins, of Kaikoura, realised from five to seven guineas, and those sold by \\ att, of Wanganui, averaged from L'J 10s to six guineas.
