OUR VOLUNTEERS.
The Rifle Battalion held a parade last evening. The following is the parade state :— Staff: Lieutenant-colonel AA'chb, Major Callan, Sergeant-majors Towler and Sl.uvley. Garrison Hand: 1 bandmaster, 1 sergeant, 2 corporals, 24 privates; total, 28. City Guards: 1 captain, 1 lieutenant, 3 sergeant's, 211 privates; total, Jl4. North Dunedin Rifles : I captain, 1 lieutenant, 1 colour-sergeant, 3 sergeants, 3 corporals, 1 bugler, Ji.. privates ; total, 43. AA'alcaii Killes r 1 captain, 2lieutenants, 1 coloursergeant, 2 sergeants, 1 corporal, 14 privates • total, 21. Highland Rifles: 1 captain, I lieutenant, 1 colour-sergeant, Jl sergeants, 4 corporals, 1 bugler, 2*l privut rs ; total, .34. Irish Killes : 1 lieutenant, 1 colour-sergeant, 4 sergeants, 4 corporals, 1 bugler, 23 privates ; total, 34. South District Rifles : 1 captain, 2 lieutenants, 1 colour-sergeant, 2 sergeants, 2 corporals, 1 bugler, It! privates; total, 25.
