DRUIDISM.
The Good Intent Lodge, 10S, held its halfyearly sunimoued meeting at the Volunteer Hall,
Mosgiel, on Tuesday evening. The attendance
of members was good, a number of visitors from tho town lodges being also present. The audi-
tors' report and balance sheet were received and adopted. These show the lodge to be in a good financial position. The District President, Bro. Morrison, being absent at the Rose of Palmerston Lodge, P.D.P. Bro. Moss was present for the purpose of installing the following officers: — A.D., Bro. Jamison; V.A., Bro. Davidson; secretary, Bro. M'Ewau; treasurer, Bro. Fail; 1.G., Bro. Murdoch; 0.G., Bro. Davidson; Arch Bards, Bros. Scott and Murdoch; Vice Bards, Bros. Nichol and Turnbull; representative to
the Grand Lodge, Bro. Matheson; Bro. Shelton nominee for D.P. Votes of thanks were tendered
to the visitors and to Bro. Moss for his kind attendance, which was duly acknowledged. The lodge was then closed by the newly elected Arch Druid at 10.30 p.m.
The regular half-yearly summoned meeting of the Rose of Palmerston Lodge, No. 215, U.A.0.D., was held at Palmerston on Tuesday evening. There was a large attendance of members and visiting brethren. After the usual business was disposed of, the election of officers was taken for the ensuing term, and resulted es follows:—J.P.A., Bro. W. Hopkins; A.D., Bro. J. C. Scott; V.A., Bro. J. Fergusson; secretary, Bro. J. K. Goodwin; treasurer, Bro. R. N. Reid ; A.D.B's., Bros. M'Allion and M'Donald ; V.A.B's., Bros. M'Lennou and M'Killop; auditor, Bro. A. Gooclley. Bro. B. J. Bryant, P.A, was nominated District President, and Bro. J. S. Mathison, P.A., as Grand Lodge representative. The installation ceremony was ably performed by Bro. A. Morrison, District President, at the conclusion of which a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the D.P. and the visiting brethren. Bros. Morrison and Bryant responded.
