MINING.
Messrs Thomas and M'Caulay, who hold an area of valuable quartz-bearing ground at the Mareburii, have brought down about two tons of prospecting samples and are having them crushed at Messrs Kine.iid and McQueen's Vulcan Foundry, Great K'ng street. What has already been crushed is showing up well m outcome of gold, so that Messrs Thomas an, M'Caulay .nay be congratulated on having secured n most valuable guLi-buareng reci.
