Owing to the neglect of the licensee of the Panama Hotel to make formal application at today's meeting of the Te Aro Licensing Committee for a confirmation of his temporary transfer his application for a new license was adjourned for a, month; consequently the hotel will have to be closed for that period. At the coming elections Mr Fitzherbert will seek re-election for the House, and will probably be opposed by Messrs Mason and E. Wakefield.
