Daily Times Office, Saturday evening. The amount of customs revenue received today on goods cleared for consumption was £365 3s lid. The beer duty amounted to £23 16s 3d. The revenue collected at the Dunedin Custom house during the past week on goods cleared for consumption amounted to £5052 Is 4d The beer duty amounted to £229 4s sd. There is mothing of interest to report concerning the import market beyond the sale of two shipments of sugar reported during the week. Prices of this particular article have a firmer tsndency. In the bagging market woolpacks are very carce, and holders are asking an advance on late quotations. Cornsacks are little'inquired for at present, and are nominal. Candles continue to be a drug on the market, and prices are not satisfactory to importers, and the local jnanufacture are being offered at very low rates. Dried fruits have been a little active during the week, and for the new season fruit now to hand satisfactory prices are being obtained. Currants, 5Jd; Blemes, 6d; Sultanas, 6d per lb. Salmon still keeps up in price, aud holders ask 83 0d for the best brands. Lobsters may be quoted at 8s 6d per dozen. In ling fish there is &3 alteration. In tea the market is very firm for good quality boxes and at prices satisfactory to importers. This week's steamer from Sydney brings a largo quantity transhipped from a .China steamer. The musters have arrived in town, and we understand a portion to be of a very superior quality. Table rice is in good supply, and prices have a tendency to be a shade lower on late quotations. Raw and boiled oils are in better demand, v with a slight improvement in price. Kerosene remains at late quotations—viz., for 150 test from Is 7d to Is 9d per gallon. Cement and galvanised iron are a little dull at present, and lew sales have come under our notice. Spirits are movine in larger parcels than usual, particularly the best brands of whiskies. Ale and stout are also receiving some attention and several lines have been quoted during the week at late quotations. Fencing wire, plain and barb, are also receiving more attention, but there is no alteration in price.
