MORNING-TON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Tho ordinary meeting of the Mornington Council was held last evening. Present: His Worship the Mayor, C/s Scott, W. Campbell, C. w. Smith, K. E* Nicolson, W. Morrison, H. F. Norman, W. Carey, J. Scoular, and H. Fiapwell. WOBKS. The Works Committee reported and recommended as followB: That the inspector lay down a few loads of rotten rock in Barifleld. That Sir Howeli's Blip in Durk stitet be removed, and also ;bat tho grade as at present metalled be continued on to where the Blip Started; total cost not to exceed £6 10a. That the Committee have inspected the Hon. Mr Reynolds' property with regard to his complaint about drainage, but cannot devise any practicable echeme at present that will meet the case.—The report was adopted. FINAKCE. The Financo Comtmttto teportcd that the bank ovcrdiaft at present was £1245 139 ltd. Accaunt9 amounting to £15 is lid wee recommended for pajinsnt.
